Designed for Costa Rican drummer Luis Diego “El Cheko” Mora, from the band Exnobia, this residence in Zarcero, Alajuela, translates rhythm into architecture.
Three main volumes compose the dwelling, echoing the arrangement and texture of a drum set — rounded corners in dialogue with sharp edges, and accents of copper that recall the brilliance of hi-hats, splashes, and crashes.
Inside, the architecture reflects Luis Di's warmth and openness to nature. The home centers around a double-height social space, where an elevated inner garden hovers above a cozy fireplace, blending intimacy, rhythm, and landscape into a single living composition.
